The Iranian Studies Program focuses on the interdisciplinary study of modern Iranian society, culture, politics, and economy. Undergraduate students can minor in Global Studies with a specialization in Iranian Studies. The specialization aims to provide Stanford undergraduates with a global lens to explore Iranian societies across time and space. Students can take a variety of classes related to Iran in subjects such as history, comparative literature, language, cinema, art, and politics.
