What You'll Study
The Department of Theater and Performance Studies (TAPS) gives students a strong grasp of historical, cultural, and practical contexts in which live performance develops. With close faculty contact, department majors pursue areas of interest that may include acting, directing, writing, dance, devised theater, design, stage management, performance theory, and cultural studies.
TAPS has the following degree options: BA in Theater and Performance Studies, a minor in Theater and Performances Studies, and an Honors program. TAPS majors must declare a concentration in Acting or Theater-Making. TAPS minors have the option of declaring a concentration in Dance.
